Well, im pretty open minded. I just purchased Gorillaz´Plastic Beach. I can really listen to everything. There is good and bad jazz, good and bad pop, good and bad prog., good and bad rap...You are right, Yellowcard isn´t exactly my style, but they are a good punk band with a good fanbase, definably worth taking a look.

:P If you want to review YC go ahead, although they aren't active right now. They're not really your style I thought. How about Hoobastank, they are a heavier rock band in some of their songs. ;)

I get what you are saying too David, and don´t feel persuaded at all. You have no idea how long it took me to understand and appreciate heavy metal, its just one of those things where you suddenly go from hating to loving. So, should Yellowcard be the next reviewed one, Mr. Wood? :D

I get what you're saying, but heavy metal usually carries a sense of anger in the songs. I agree they have some amazing guitar riffs and such, if it wasn't for the lyrics and growling I would like it a lot. Like Metallica's Orion, that's a great song without any vocals. :)

Music taste is something pretty unique. I definably see how most people don´t ike Heavy Metal (and I respect and understand). I think points like "pointless screams", "satanism" and "noise" are a prejudice though: The guitar and the notes played in these songs are much more complex and ahrd than any other song in any other genre nowadays. The growls (actual technical name for the screams) are incredibly difficult to do and require years of voical training, and satanism is only portrayed as a joke or symbol of rebellion by very few bands like Slayer and Ozbourne, both badns containing mostly chritians members. So, in other words, I would really like to raise some debates and give some information about different bands and genres. If you are open minded and can hear all the genres, then you can consider yourself to know what music is really all about.

I agree with David. Opeth is not that bad, but bands like Slayer, Megadeth and others have horrible bloody lyrics and these pointless screams. I just don't get why :(

And I don't get why people like songs where the guys are just screaming, no offense of course. ;) :P

YAY! Weezer! Those guys are crazy. You know in Pork and Beans they have Ryan Wieber and Micheal "Dorkman" Scott ( Ryan vs Dorkman 1 & 2) in the background wielding their lightsabers. :)
